The Dog Outer Gear winter coat is a warm and durable coat that your dog will enjoy for many years.  The coats material is waterproof and windproof so it will protect your dog from the harsh elements of winter.  Your dog will be able to spend more time outdoors doing whatever activities they enjoy the most. 

Putting it on your dog is as simple as sliding their head through the neck enclosure, straightening out the length and attaching the wide belly strap.  They are ready to go outside in no time.  When it's time to come in, simply remove the belly strap and the neck strap.

The D.O.G. Winter coat folds up nicely and if you saved the clear bag it arrived in you can store it away for future use.

Sizing Information

Getting the size right the first time is so important and so difficult if you can't try it on first.  For instructions on how to measure your dog, please visit our Sizing Info link located on the left menu. You can also view additional photos of the coat which we have laid flat and taken measurements.

Measuring Tip:

When measuring use a flexible tape measure, the kind that a seamstress would use.  If you don't have one, use string and then measure the string.

Coats are intended to go over the tail and cover the dogs whole body.  When measuring the girth make sure you measure around the thickest part of the chest area as the picture shows.  Length is a measure of the dogs backbone so measure from the collar to the tail, not including the tail length.  The large Velcro strip allows for some adjustment.
