The PlaySafe collar has two release points so it can be opened from either side quickly in the event of an emergency. The collar uses two easy to reach Velcro® tabs that will hold tight until you release them. The PlaySafe collar can be used to control and restrain your dog as well.

This unique collar is perfect for any big dog who goes to doggy daycare or visits a dog park because of its built in safety feature that allows for an emergency release of the collar.  You might want to consider this dog collar if you've ever watched dogs play together. Dogs like to play bite around the neck and their jaw can get tangled in the other dog's collar. As they struggle to get loose, the dog collar gets twisted and tightens.  Without a quick release of the dog collar, the result can sadly be a broken jaw or even strangulation.  Don't let this unfortunate accident happen to your dog.

Other types of dog collars that have the quick release type buckles can get jammed when tension is increased. This can make it very difficult to release the collar if it has become twisted, tangled or caught on something.

Sizing information

The PlaySafe Collar comes in 3 different sizes.
  Width Length
 Small -  3/4" 12" - 15"
 Medium -
 3/4" 15" - 21"
 Large -  1" 18" - 26"








Be sure to measure around the middle of your dogs neck when determining the appropriate size.  The PlaySafe Collar has has a metal slide so you can adjust it to make a perfect fit.  You should be able to slip two fingers under a perfectly fitted dog collar. 

More Information

Be sure to keep the Velcro clear of hair, fur and debris to make sure it holds securely.  To clean the Velcro, use a small comb to remove the debris.  The best way to keep the Velcro clear of debris is keep it closed except when putting the collar on or removing it.

This dog collar can be washed with mild detergent and then hung up to dry.

Practice Make Perfect

We suggest that you practice releasing the collar a few times using your sense of touch to locate the tabs.  This will help you be prepared should any situation develop that requires an immediate release of the dog collar.
